The cultural Castle of Wernsdorf is located only 8 kilometers from the UNESCO World Heritage site of Bamberg, and to the west of the Franconian Switzerland. More than 1000 years of music and history invite you to an extraordinary cultural experience.
Internationally renowned solists and ensembles such as Jordi Savall, Arianna Savall-Figueras, Petter Udland Johansen, Murat Coşkun, David Mayoral, Flanders Recorder Quartet, Tanja Kinkel, Paul Maar and the Capella Antiqua Bambergensis have made Wernsdorf Castle a nationwide concert venue. Here in the historical concert hall you can experience the richness of the Middle Ages and the virtuosity of the Renaissance as well as one of the summer concerts in the picturesque inner courtyard.
Our individual offers for groups have a duration of 45 to 90 minutes and include a concert, a theme guide and the presentation of our sounding museum with more than 220 playable musical instruments from Gothic to Baroque.
